Girls basketball tournaments in full swing

CHAMPAIGN — The Sangamon Valley girls' tournament is already underway, and the Okaw Valley girls' tournament begins this week. Here are the updates brackets for the Spartans and Rockets for their upcoming games. St. Joseph-Ogden is 14-6 entering its game Thursday, and Unity will hit the court Saturday with a 15-8 record.

Sangamon Valley Conference Tournament
Next game: St. Joseph-Ogden vs. CPCI, 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Clifton Central (SVC semifinals).
– If SJ-O wins, the Spartans will play in the SVC Championship at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Parkland against St. Thomas More or PBL.
– If SJ-O loses, the Spartans will play in the SVC third-place game at 6 p.m. Saturday at Parkland against St. Thomas More or PBL.

Okaw Valley Conference Tournament
Next game: Unity vs. Central A&M/Clinton, 7:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Teresa (OVC Quarterfinals).
– If Unity wins in the quarterfinals, the Rockets will play in the conference semifinals at 7:30 p.m. Monday (1/25) at St. Teresa.
– If Unity loses in the quarterfinals, the Rockets will play in the conference consolation semifinals at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday (1/26) at St. Teresa.
– If Unity wins in the semifinals, the Rockets will play in the OVC Championship at 8 p.m. Thursday (1/28) at St. Teresa.
– If Unity loses in the semifinals, the Rockets will play in the OVC third-place game at 6:30 p.m. Thursday (1/28) at St. Teresa.
– If Unity wins in the consolation semifinals, the Rockets will play in the OVC consolation championship at 8 p.m. Wednesday (1/27) at St. Teresa.
