TOLONO — Cindy Hughes and the Unity dance team are organizing a pep rally for the football team at 6:30 p.m. this Wednesday at the high school gymnasium. Please try to arrive by 6:20 p.m. to get seated. The pep rally will last less than an hour, and the school would love to pack the gym to let the team know that Rocket Nation is behind them.
The fourth-ranked Rockets (13-0) will play No. 3 Stillman Valley (13-0) in the IHSA Class 3A state championship game at 4 p.m. Friday at Memorial Stadium. This is the second time this decade the Rockets and Cardinals have met in the state finals. Stillman Valley beat Unity 35-14 in the Rockets' first state championship game appearance in 2000.

There will be a Unity Rockets' tent in the tent city at Memorial Stadium (southwest of the Stadium) on Friday. The tent will feature music, cheering and games. The Rockets are leaving from the high school at 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon if you want to send them off or caravan behind them. When you get to Memorial Stadium, you can't miss tent city on First Street.
The team will return to the high school at 7:30 p.m. Friday evening for a Pep Rally. We would love to pack the parking lot/gym for them when they come home!
The senior parents also want to thank Rocket Nation for the amazing support this season. You have made it incredible for our boys in their last year as Rockets. Special thanks to all those wonderful people who donate so much time to the football program — too many to mention.
